Use acid-free albums, pages, and mounting products, and polypropylene or polyester plastics.
Insects love to eat paper products; this is another advantage of polypropylene systems.

Store photos out of direct sunlight, away from windows.
Avoid humid storage areas.
Avoid direct contact where possible while viewing pictures.
Avoid spraying chemicals near your photos.
Atmospheric pollutants may cause adverse chemical reactions with the colour dyes.
Avoid using adhesives, sticky tapes, inks and other chemicals near your photos.
